I chose BWH for many reasons: exposure to diverse clinical pathology, working with internationally-recognized faculty, access to tremendous resources and research opportunities. Most importantly, I chose BWH because of the helpful and supportive environment that has only helped me to grow. I am currently pursuing research in the field of atopic dermatitis. With dedicated mentorship, I am employing many bench techniques to further elucidate the pathology of this disease, applying what is learned from an animal model translationally to the bedside.
Mullur, Jyotsna, MD

I chose to come to BWH due to the exceptional mentorship, unique clinical experiences, and extraordinary environment for learning and scholarship. The educational opportunities and resources are unparalleled. The faculty and program are deeply committed to your success and growth as a physician and person. My current research aims to characterize the longitudinal clinical outcomes, healthcare utilization, and quality of life among patients with AERD, with a specific focus on the therapeutic effects of biologic agents. My goal is to translate and connect a mechanistic understanding of biologic therapy to meaningful patient-centered outcomes

I chose BWH first and foremost because of the wonderful co-fellows and faculty mentors who are fully invested in helping early career physicians to develop their clinical and research skills. For a group of such talented and successful professionals, they seem to have unlimited time to teach, mentor, and open up academic opportunities to the fellows – incredible! It continues to be a collaborative and supportive environment.
I am joining the Channing Division of Network Medicine and pursuing at master’s at Harvard School of Public Health to support my research. My current project focuses on the effect of prenatal vitamin D supplementation on allergic sensitization in early childhood.

I chose to stay at Brigham and Women’s Hospital for Allergy Immunology fellowship because of the incredible faculty and staff that I had gotten to know while completing a research project in the division during residency. The division has a combination of warm inclusivity and academic rigor in which fellows thrive. My current research focuses on defining epidemiologic and genetic risk factors for atopic disease.
